LaGrange, IL, September 2003-The TECHKON DMS910 Digital MicroScope-being shown for the first time at Graph Expo 2003 in Booth 5414-is twice as accurate, consistent and repeatable as any other handheld plate measurement device on the market today. The GRIPdigital TECHKON DMS910 Digital MicroScope measures conventional screens from 75lpi to 300lpi, the widest latitude in the industry. According to GRIPdigital president Greg Imhoff, "The TECHKON DMS910 Digital MicroScope provides linearity and repeatability of ±0.5 percent when measuring conventional screens at 150lpi, traceable to the FOGRA standard. In addition, the device measures stochastic screens as fine as 10 microns. Halftones are easier to see and can be measured more quickly using the GRIPdigital TECHKON DMS910, which can readily fingerprint any tonal curve, in color. The handheld GRIPdigital TECHKON DMS910 operates on the same principal as the laboratory planimeters used by plate manufacturers to benchmark imaging systems."
The GRIPdigital TECHKON DMS910 Digital Microscope incorporates renowned German optics with high-resolution camera technology, and comes complete with all software necessary to quickly preview and record the plate values being read. Halftone image measurement is displayed in both inch and metric values, and the screen angle is automatically displayed.
