January 1999, Western Springs, IL—Greg Imhoff, a highly regarded color expert with nearly 20 years in the graphic arts industry, has announced the formation of GRIPdigital. The new firm has exclusive North and South American distribution rights for the Centurfax CCDot DotMeter®. In announcing his new company, Imhoff said: “The Centurfax CCDot Digital DotMeter is the next generation of color measurement device, replacing the traditional densitometer and enabling printers and color trade services to monitor and correct color more reliably and consistently. At the recent IPEX 98 exhibition in Birmingham, England, and at GraphExpo 98 in Chicago, the Centurfax CCDot DotMeter was the hit of the shows in the computer-to-plate arena.”

Imhoff, who until recently was National Sales Manager for the Color Control Division of GretagMacbeth, is well known for his color expertise among printing equipment and supplies manufacturers, printers, color trade services organizations, and graphic arts dealers. A graduate of the University of Dayton, Imhoff has been active in PIA, NAPL, IPA, GATF, NAGASA, and NPES. He has served on the FTA Pantone Standards Committee, the FTA Color Management Committee, the GCA Prepress Standards Committee, and the NPES Technical Committee.
